The Nonstick Clad series steel casserole (ø 24 cm, capacity 8 L) features a multi-layered body that heats up efficiently and evenly, along with the highly heat-conductive Swiss Diamond XD diamond coating. Both the structure and the coating are the result of several years of product development. The stylish lid is made of durable tempered glass, and its transparency allows for monitoring the cooking food without needing to lift the lid.
The casserole’s 2.8 mm thick multi-layer body consists of 18/0 stainless steel, an aluminum alloy, pure aluminum, and 18/10 stainless steel. The 18/0 stainless steel used on the exterior is a magnetizable material, so no separate induction structure is required at the bottom of the casserole. The core aluminum alloy behaves similarly to copper and conducts heat excellently. The inner steel layer (18/10) is coated with the top-quality XD coating containing diamond crystals, which is highly resistant to mechanical wear, effectively transfers heat from the metal body to the food being cooked, and provides the benefits of a non-stick surface (e.g., reduced frying fat usage and easy cleaning). A 20,000 °C plasma flame treatment before spraying the coating helps it adhere to the casserole and prevents oxidation of the underlying steel layer. The 5-layer structure ensures efficient and even heating: no overheated areas form on the bottom, and heat is also effectively transferred to the edges, which is especially important for casseroles and other high-sided cookware. The ergonomically designed hollow handles remain cool during stovetop use, but hands should always be protected with proper oven mitts during oven use. The edge of the casserole is shaped to allow for neat pouring of sauces into serving dishes.
