Donation World Vision Finland, School meal campaign

There is a historically severe hunger crisis unfolding in the world. With donations, Finland's World Vision School Meal Campaign fights the global hunger crisis and provides many children with their only meal of the day. It helps prevent diseases and malnutrition and encourages parents to send their children (including girls) to school. School meals improve children's concentration and learning. School meals are especially important for girls. The opportunity for school meals motivates parents to send their daughters to school as well. Education helps prevent child marriages and teenage pregnancies. Girls' education is an effective way to break the cycle of poverty. For example, with €500, school meals can be provided to 71 children for a month, and with €1,000, meals can be provided to 11 children for a year.
