Alvar Aalto combined clear modern design and the specialist skills of craftsmen when creating classic interior items that combine functionality with sculptural form. The influence of Finnish nature can be seen in the asymmetrical wave form created by Alvar Aalto, with which Aalto won the design competition related to the 1937 Paris World Exhibition. It has become one of the timeless classics of modern Nordic design. Each Aalto vase is made individually at the Iittala glass factory in Finland in a multi-stage manufacturing process. The glass vase begins with mouth blowing, after which it is cut from the glass mass by hand and polished to its final shape. Long-stemmed flowers come into their own in a tall vase. The vase made of clear glass is a multi-purpose and sculptural interior design element. Measure 220 mm. Hand wash only.
