Donation, Save the Children Finland

This Christmas, an increasing number of children in Finland are experiencing food insecurity.

Statistics in Finland estimates that the number of children experiencing severe material deprivation has nearly tripled in just a few years. These are children who do not have enough food or cannot afford basic necessities such as two pairs of properly fitting shoes. At the same time, more families continue to fall into poverty. Around 140,000 children now live in low-income families.

Through the Christmas fundraising campaign, Save the Children Finland provides families with grocery gift cards. We also provide financial support for children’s hobbies and offer counselling support to children and young people. In addition, children facing difficult life situations can be matched with a support person or a support family through Save the Children Finland.

With the support of our donors, we reached nearly 81,000 children in Finland in 2025.

Thank you for your support for children in Finland!
